I've noticed a when it comes to responding to advice: instead of just brushing it off with a simple "I know," try saying "you're right." It's a small tweak but it can really make a big difference.

Think about it: when someone takes the time to offer you advice, they're trying to help you out. By responding with "you're right," you're not only acknowledging their effort but also showing that you value their input. It's like saying, "Hey, thanks for taking the time to share your perspective with me. I hear you, and I appreciate it."

Plus, it shifts the dynamic of the conversation. Instead of shutting down the discussion with a dismissive "I know," you're keeping the dialogue open and showing that you're receptive to feedback. It fosters better communication and can lead to more productive exchanges in the long run.

Traveling When traveling, instead of lugging around my yoga mat (a huge 7-footer because I'm quite tall) I bring a thin towel (like a thicker linen material) rolled up inside my carry-on. After spraying it with a little water I find the grip to be a decent substitution for my yoga mat on harder floors, but especially after I put a blanket beneath it for a little knee padding.

Posted by u/Zuko_was_the_hero_23 Asking a doctor for records can save your life If a doctor refuses to give you a test for a medical issue that you are concerned about, ask them to document their refusal in their record, and to give you a copy of that documented record at the end of the appointment. Doctors usually would rather run the test to cover themselves against future lawsuits, than leaving evidence that they refused testing and missed a diagnosis.
