If you're like us, and you have had to experience losing your cat in the past, then you know the intense pain you feel when that happens. And you know the joy of reuniting with your cat. You cry, you laugh, you want to tell everyone about your cat coming back to you. And people tend to be happy alongside you, because our cats are a part of our families, and we treat them as such. What you wouldn't expect to happen after you're reunited with your cat and are telling people about it is for people to get mad at you, but that's what happened here.
A Utah couple got reunited with the cat that they… accidentally shipped to a different state in an Amazon return bag. And while we are so, so happy to know that the cat has been found and is medically fine, the story is a bit sus, and the internet thinks so too.

"Galena is a huge emotional support to me and has helped me get through many health challenges over the past six years," Carrie told KSL TV. "The anxiety and stress of not knowing what happened to her was excruciating." Carrie, along with her family and friends, searched their house and neighborhood, putting up posters to try to find Galena.
"I didn't believe her at first and thought it was a prank," Carrie said after having received a text saying that Galena's microchip has been scanned and she was found all the way in California. "I ran to tell my husband that Galena was found and we broke down upon realizing that she must have jumped into an oversized box that we shipped out the previous Wednesday. The box was a 'try before you buy,' and filled with steel-toed work boots."
Galena was apparently trapped in the delivery box for days without water or food. Luckily, an Amazon employee rescued the cat from the box when it was found it in the California warehouse, then took it to the vet the next day. "After talking to the vet, I got to talk to Brandy on the phone! She was so relieved to find out that we love Galena and were desperately looking for her," Carrie said.
Carrie and her husband booked a flight right away, and the next day, they were reunited with Galena. "We brought Galena's pink carrier, food, favorite treats, and towels that smelled like home. We couldn't wait to see her again!" At the vet's, Galena immediately recognized her owners, reacting to their voice. "It was an amazing reunion! Galena instantly stopped shaking and relaxed in my arms when I got to hold her again. Despite being skinnier and some mild dehydration, her bloodwork was completely normal and she was completely unharmed!"
"The box Galena was in, was split open on one seam and that gave her air to breathe. The weather temperatures were ideal and she didn't overheat or freeze. Galena survived because of her microchip, Brandy's kindness and generosity, and God's grace!" Carrie said and added that all pet owners should, "triple check your Amazon boxes!"
