One man shared his concern over his new girlfriend's complaints about a family tradition he had with his daughter. He had been taking his daughter on a yearly vacation, and this tradition actually began when his daughter's mother passed away. When he met his girlfriend he discussed the trip, and at first, she didn't seem to mind, instead choosing to support this 'father-daughter' holiday. But, as the date grew closer, she began to doubt the lack of inclusion. She became upset and called him selfish and entitled for not including her.
He tried to explain the personal significance of the trip to her, but to no avail.
