We, as loving pet owners, have taken our pets to the vet for all kinds of reasons. We worry. Don't judge us. Better safe than sorry in these situations. Maybe we're onto something, and maybe taking our pet to the vet means catching that something early on and being able to take care of it. And maybe… just maybe, we worry too much and happen to overreact about some things and end up taking our pets to the vet and getting some funny diagnoses. Like… taking our cats to the vet because they're crying only to find out that our cats are just constipated. Or taking our kittens to the vet because their belly looks funny only to find our that 'Cheesecake is just fat'. Or taking our dogs to the vet only for them to be diagnosed as lazy doggo drama queens.
We take them there even though we know they hate it because, at the end of the day, we know that it's for their best. We can only hope that our vets will be as kind about our situations as was the vet in this twitter thread.

There are so many wholesome things in this story, we don't even know where to start. From the image of a little kid walking into the vet's office with an itty bitty mouse with a broken leg, all the way to the vet accepting anything that this kid had to offer to help this itty bitty mouse. Kindness. Yes, we need more of it in the world.
Listen… this seems like an uncommon enough procedure that maybe the vet didn't know either. Maybe he was as smitten with you bringing this mouse there as we are reading about it and was just looking for something symbolic. He essentially did the amputation for free. Again. Yes. Kindness. More. We love it.
