The math ain't mathin'… How can you have experience when you can't get experience unless you have experience? See how confusing that is?? Employers are out here asking for recent college grads to apply, but they need 30+ years of experience. Excuse me, do you know how old most recent college grads are? They are barely 21! One way to gain experience in order to start getting experience is to offer to do that experience for no money. Aka be an unpaid intern. Yep, somehow in this economy we are still expected to give up all of our time for free even though rent is the highest it has ever been and inflation makes even buying basic groceries a luxury. But hey, sometimes you get paid internships! Usually, they offer less than minimum wage in the form of a “stipend,” but at least that's something… Maybe you can spend that summer internship living on the streets and you can save on rent! Or maybe you actually have the elusive good internship that actually pays well, treats you well, and turns into a full-time gig. If so, you are a lucky one. For every other intern, these memes are for you.
