'We're such a deeply unserious country': New York-Dublin 'portal' live art installation immediately creates chaos

Art brings people together. At least, that is what its greatest supporters like to say. Some of the best art thrives when we put aside our differences and realize that we can all be united behind a particular feeling that it brings, right? 

Unfortunately for all those utopian artists out there, this is easier said than done. Art, especially the interactive kind, can have some unintended consequences. People don't always react the way that you want them to.

This was something that has been amusing the internet recently, after a live video art installation started to cause a ruckus. A livestream linking London and New York, it wasn't long before pranksters were hijacking the stream to do things that not everybody was going to appreciate. At least it gave the people of Twitter something to chuckle at, even if not everybody was going to see the funny side of this.
