Concerned parents fall out with tradwife daughter and husband after saving money for her in case of divorce: 'She felt we were rooting against her'

When it comes to the tricky business of settling down, I'm all for women choosing to do whatever floats their boat. However, I have to say that personally, I would probably struggle to be a stay-at-home mom. Not only can it easily isolate you from the outside world, but it can also mean that your finances are entirely dependent on your partner. If things don't work out, you could have money struggles that extend far beyond divorce court.

This was exactly what one woman's parents began to worry about when she gave up working after getting married and having her first child. While their daughter had signed a prenup, mom and dad felt like it wasn't enough and started a backup fund in case she ever broke up with her husband. When the young couple found out about this, they didn't have the most positive reaction. Still, Reddit thought that the parents were being sensible.
