Millionaire chews out friend for asking to borrow $5: 'She's posh now, and is not of your world anymore'

"Friends and money should never mix," said the subject of this recent Reddit post. Whether or not they are ultimately in the wrong… that's still up for debate, but that statement remains true. Like business and pleasure or oil and water, some things are better left un-mingled. Of course, it's hard to avoid sometimes. If you ever go out to dinner with a friend, unless you're calculators out, always committed to splitting evenly, someone is going to end up in debt to someone. You either have to decide not to care, or just do your best with the mental math of favors. 

But something you generally can avoid is asking to borrow money from friends. Here and there, it's okay, but it becomes unhealthy if it's a habit. That's exactly what happened in this story, where a pair of friends were split apart by matters of money. But commenters were split on who was in the wrong.
