‘Have at it, I'm out of here’: Wife Leaves Husband and Kids and Goes Out to Eat Alone After They Failed to Do Their House Chores

One of the most important parenting tips that I can give young parents is always to be a unanimous front in front of their children. Never fight in front of the kids, and never turn the kids against the other parent. You have to be together, or at least appear to be together when you are educating your kids, and only later, behind closed doors, talk about the disagreements you might have with one other.

Otherwise, the only thing that the kids will learn is that they can get away with whatever they want, as long as they have one of their parents by their side, which can easily be what happens with the kids in this Reddit story. Their mom has repeatedly asked them to do their house chores, but they never seem to do it. Their dad is also hard to educate, and he as well does not help around the house, or support the mom. All that until one day the mom came home from work to see again that the family did nothing around the house, so the mom decided to take action.
