Any theatre kid out there can testify to how fun it is to be a part of the theater-loving community. I am a part of many fandoms, but something about the shared experience of actually being on stage – acting, singing, dancing, is unlike any experience I have ever had while being a part of a fandom.

Because the theater fandom is so diverse and is actually assembled by hundreds of other fandoms, as each production has its own community of fans, it is hard to explain to outsiders the intensity of the experience of this community. Not to mention that we tend to be pretty intense people regardless of the shows we like.
