Some heroes don't wear capes–they don't have superpowers, and they don't fight crime, but they still help make the world a better place, and they do it without a drop of ego, or the expectation of recognition.

While we can all think of different people who do different things that we consider heroic, we want to focus on the wonderful hoomans who become foster pawrents to so many sweet souls in need.

Being a foster is an incredible task some hoomans take upon themselves. They nurture and help cats, dogs, and everything in between, and get them ready to find a furrever family that will love them for the rest of their lives. They put their hearts and souls into their fluffy friends, and in the end, they let them go, there are no words to describe how hard it must be.

Sometimes we hear the term ‘foster fail’ which usually means that the foster family failed at being fosters and became the fluffy furriend's forever family. But sometimes, something else in the process fails, and the sweet animal that found an adoptive family actually finds itself back as a foster, and that is what happened in this beautiful hooman's story down below.

Rachael couldn't have been more surprised when she found out that one of her fosters was found on the streets, and is now in need of assistance. She was sure this sweet cat already had a home, and couldn't believe the state of her when she came to pick her up.
