Kids often don't know much about the consequences of their actions. They act first, and they think later, which almost always results in them doing some pretty stupid things.
It is (mostly) fine when those stupid things are harmless and don't really affect anybody else. The kid will probably regret doing it, and they will learn not to repeat it again. However, as soon as those kids' actions lead to the harm of someone else, or even worse, a helpless sweet soul that has done nothing to deserve it, that is when adults must get involved.
If you have kids, and you hear that they make a habit out of trapping helpless and adorable cats, and then releasing them into the wild, and you do nothing about it, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Your kids will never learn compassion or empathy if that is what they do to tiny creatures who cannot defend themselves, and we are seriously judging anyone who allows those actions to happen.

However, we do highly appreciate, and are forever thankful for hoomans like the hikers in this sweet video, who find ways to help those sweet souls in need.
These hikers heard the cry for help of a tiny cat who was apparently trapped and dumped in the forest to fend for herself. It was clear that this cat was friendly, and did not belong in the wild, so the awesome hoomans took the baby in and immediately fell in love with her.

The rest of their story is purfectly depicted in the video below, so please scroll down and watch it till the end.
