Mother Cat Ferociously Enters Someone's Home To Take Back Her Baby Kitten From A Crying Child After It Was Stolen From Her

Here at ICanHasCheezburger, we spend essentially every day trying to encourage people to rescue cats that need their help. You hear a cat screaming for help on the street? Don't just walk past. Help it. It's asking. If you were asking for help, you would hope that someone would stop to give it to you. And whenever we see it - stories of people rescuing cats, we try to highlight them, to encourage more people to do the same thing.

But there's a right way to rescue a cat that you find on the street, and this thread exemplifies exactly the wrong way. A kitten needs it mother, and although it does happen sometimes for various reasons, usually, a mother cat would not simply abandon its kitten. The right way is: when you find the kitten, look for the mom. Look hard. And only if the mom is not there, take the kitten. Because the worse thing you could do is separate a baby from its momma.

Look… as much as we always say that if you see an animal in need, it's important to help it, that doesn't mean that it's okay to steal the animal from its parent. Now, we don't know the circumstances of this video and exactly how this came to be, but we do know enough to know that in this case, it was wrong.

If the momma cat knew where to go to get her kitten back after it was taken, then clearly, she saw it happen. She was in the vicinity. The parents should have looked around for her and made absolutely sure that she was not there before taking the kitten. But… that didn't happen, for whatever reason. And now, we're just happy that this momma cat was able to get her baby back.
