"We waited, they waited, it's not fair to cut"
  • 02
This happened months ago when my wife and I went to the movie theater during the Barbie release:
  • 03
We got to the theater and it was packed, due to it being the opening weekend of Barbie and Oppenheimer, we got in line for popcorn and there was probably 50 people ahead of us, line way into the lobby, but it was moving relatively quickly (I think we waited 10-15 minutes).

Boomer guy and his wife are there with their granddaughter who must have been 10-12 years old. Seems nice right? Grandparents taking their granddaughter to the movies?
  • 05
Just wait.. We were towards the front of the line when this guy looks back and forth, and just casually side steps in front of us with his back turned. I was shocked that I witnessed a grown man cutting a line.. a mother with her daughter right next to him calls him out on it (politely but affirmative)

Mother with her daughter said "sir the line starts back there, we have been waiting for a while you cannot cut"
  • 07
Guy, "Do you see how fi long this line is? What am I supposed to wait this whole fo time" you could sense his anger just ramp up by the second very bizarre
  • 08
Mother, "we waited, they waited, it's not fair to cut, it's not that bad the lines moving"
  • 09
Guy, "incoherent mumbling" raises his voice and says something along the lines of, "you know what?! ☐ you f you and f you (points his finger at everyone behind him) I'm done with this "
  • 10
Mother, "sir there are children here can you please not swear like that?"
  • 11
This guy then grabs his granddaughter's hand and rushes off to the hallway with the theater entrances, I guess she's not getting any popcorn today. He just left his wife standing there all alone, she looked so embarrassed, she then walked to follow them.

The absolute entitlement to think it's acceptable for him to cut the line and use that language at people, in front of many children and his own granddaughter???
  • 13
He is certainly demonstrating appropriate behavior for her... I feel bad for his family that has to deal with. I wonder how they are doing now lol.

Yum_MrStallone 21 hr. ago Pointing to your observation that the most-likely Boomer wife was embarrassed. This is an entitled man being a fool/. What her life must be like is a sad thought.

Tweezus96 20 hr. ago I've seen countless Boomers cut the customer service line at Costco because they "just want to ask a question". Motherf your question is going to take just as long as everyone else's return so get your dumpy b to the back of the line.
