The people you invite to your wedding are supposed to be the people who are the dearest and closest to you. It could be 50 people or it could be 500, but every single one of them should be people you care for and people that care for you.
Your ex, for example, is usually not a person you would think should come to your wedding. Even if you ended things on good terms, it is still your day, and having someone like that from your past is usually a no-go.
So when the bridesmaid in this Reddit story announced that she was bringing the bride's ex-boyfriend to the wedding as her plus one, it definitely felt like something that the bride would not agree to. And the bride indeed did not agree, but the bridesmaid (who is also the bride's cousin by the way), didn't love being denied, and it created quite a dispute between the two.
