I'm confused. You're a professional pet sitter yourself so why are you asking for unpaid volunteers to muck out your rabbits?

"Another deluded business owner looking for free labour"

10:46 Still looking for a volunteer who would love to help out with my two rabbits, Rain and Mari. They will need mucking out, cleaning, cobwebs gotten rid of, disinfecting, play time and grooming. This will be a 2 hour session every Saturday. First session will be walked through and shown how to do everything and introductions to the babies. You must be 18 or over as I will not be here with you every Saturday, so you must be able to be left alone. Someone is always home so if any help is needed

10:47 Rain Rain was dumped on a motorway with his mother and young siblings. His mum passed away when he was only 3 weeks old so wasn't brought up to learn a lot of rabbit things, like burrowing in the winter. We didn't think he would make it through the cold times but a lot of teaching and encouragement he has finally clicked and is doing. what rabbits do best... causing a mess! He is a very quiet, loving boy, but will run and hide. from you most of the time. He loves strokes when taken slowly

HoldFast02. 20 hr. ago "A lot of people out there who would love this" - sure. If I want to volunteer to take care of animals, I go to a shelter.

DuchessOfAquitaine 20 hr. ago It is always hilarious to me to see someone looking for volunteers to do work that they themselves insist on being paid for. "A lot of people out there would love this!" I mean, couldn't everyone who needs a petsitter say this? As in her paying clients.

    • LukeSykpe 18 hr. ago Yes, everyone who needs a petsitter (or any sort of sitter really, be it baby/house/etc) could say that, and they do, a lot, if half the posts in this sub are any indication. People are just delusional about the work that these activities take. They are actual work, and should be paid as such ¯\_(\)_/¯¯

IndependentFormal705 19 hr. ago How come the "someone who is always home and can help if needed" can't do it?

Redheaded_Potter · 20 hr. ago • Must be 18? Ha!! Good luck! His only chance was maybe a 4H kid. Our club mucked some minis for a couple of months BUT it was because the owner broke her hip and literally couldn't do it. She also fed the kids at least pizza or something every time. This weirdo shouldn't even own these rabbits. Obviously they aren't socialized and sounds like they are poorly cared for.

Educational-Part-253 19 hr. ago If your "rescued" rabbits needs someone to clean cobwebs out of their cages, take those poor animals to a real rescue facility where they will be properly cared for. I mean, seriously, how long do those cages go untouched/unmucked that they need friggin' cobwebs cleaned out?

CynicallyCyn 19 hr. ago If this person was my pet sitter, I would let them go. after seeing this. Their Judgment is clearly questionable.

Calm2022 20 hr. ago They shouldn't have pets if they can't be bothered to take care of them. There is no way they're so busy that they can't take a couple of hours a week to care for their rabbits. chipscheeseandbeans OP. 20 hr. ago Not only are they too busy to care for their pets, they're a professional pet sitter!

MrBeer9999 · 20 hr. ago • Not a lawyer but I believe the foundation of a contract is mutual consideration i.e. you can't have a contract where someone just provides free services, because you're not paying them.

nrskim 19 hr. ago Those poor bunnies. It's also concerning that she needs someone to clean the cobwebs out of the Bunny homes. It takes 2 minutes and why haven't you done this
