Professional pet sitter asks for someone to watch their own pets for free, community criticizes their request: 'People are just delusional'

Running a business is challenging, especially once you expand to the point that you need to hire people to help you manage the workload and, as it turns out, people expect to be paid for all that effort, cutting well into all those exponential profits you had been imagining. These people want some of your money… Can you believe that???

This is the thinking that a lot of people subscribe to when it comes to handling their growing business and personal affairs. And for some reason, types of "choosing beggar" posts seem to almost always center around some kind of child-care or pet-sitting. While child care is wildly expensive, it stands to reason that you'd want the person watching your pride and joy to be someone with a degree of professionalism and care around what they were doing—and not the only stranger that you were able to con into taking up the task on Facebook.

Further, when you work in that profession yourself, turning around and wanting someone to do that same job for free is about as ironic as you can get and requires leaps and bounds in logic that bottle the mind. Yet, that's what this pet sitter was seeking when they themselves sought a sitter for their own pets on this online community.

    10:46 Still looking for a volunteer who would love to help out with my two rabbits, Rain and Mari. They will need mucking out, cleaning, cobwebs gotten rid of, disinfecting, play time and grooming. This will be a 2 hour session every Saturday. First session will be walked through and shown how to do everything and introductions to the babies. You must be 18 or over as I will not be here with you every Saturday, so you must be able to be left alone. Someone is always home so if any help is needed

    10:47 Rain Rain was dumped on a motorway with his mother and young siblings. His mum passed away when he was only 3 weeks old so wasn't brought up to learn a lot of rabbit things, like burrowing in the winter. We didn't think he would make it through the cold times but a lot of teaching and encouragement he has finally clicked and is doing. what rabbits do best... causing a mess! He is a very quiet, loving boy, but will run and hide. from you most of the time. He loves strokes when taken slowly

Our club mucked some minis for a couple of months BUT it was because the owner broke her hip and literally couldn't do it. She also fed the kids at least pizza or something every time. This weirdo shouldn't even own these rabbits. Obviously they aren't socialized and sounds like they are poorly cared for.

I mean, seriously, how long do those cages go untouched/unmucked that they need friggin' cobwebs cleaned out?
