People can be very critical of others they deem to be "too online." We're having entire societal debates about whether it's good or bad that young people would rather spend time on the internet than have s*x or drink alcohol. You might have a visceral reaction one way or the other, but the issue is a lot more complicated than "Kids need to play outside more" or "Kids need to get off the computer." We're far beyond the point where the internet functions as simply an extra way of socializing that works in tandem with regular socializing. Kids know how to navigate a tablet before they can ever speak or read. The pervasive internet is here, and it's not going away. We're not in a dial-up world anymore, and there's nothing wrong with embracing being a little too online. If your weekly screen time scares you, these funny memes might be a good use of said screen time.
