I often think about the "ugly" fruits and vegetables in the supermarket. You know, the weirdly shaped potato or the eggplant with a smaller eggplant growing out of its side. When I see them, I immediately feel sad, transported back to those moments in elementary school when no one picked me for their basketball team or to that party I wasn't invited to. I feel for you, weirdly shaped potato—I've been there! It's not your fault you look different from all the other potatoes, and I'm sure you taste just as good, if not better, than those perfectly shaped potatoes that are always chosen first.
These fruits and vegetables, however, have taken being different to a whole new level. They chose to dream big! We have a strawberry that looks just like a chicken, a tomato that decided to be a butterfly, and an adorable potato that resembles a teddy bear. These fruits and vegetables wanted to be more—and they succeeded!
