Hilarious Cats Being Petty As Heck About The Smallest And Silliest Inconveniences

There are many, many things that we love about cats, but arguably one of the best things about them is that they have almost human-like purrsonalities. Each and every cat is unique. Each of them has some quirk, some silly habit, some special unexpected food that they love or toy that they hate. We have seen everything in our time writing for ICanHas - from cats who love eating cucumbers for some reason, to cats who are obsessed with almonds - as toys, not as food, all the way to cats who have something against closed doors and make sure that we know about it - very loudly. 

If cats like something, we will know about it. And if they don't like something… oh, we will know about it. Because cats are petty. And if something is not to their liking, they will make sure that everyone and everything is aware of it.

    Posted by u/Dragon In Plain Sight Cats can be petty too Growing up, we had a big white cat named Jerry. Laid back, chill kinda cat. Jerry decides one day to sharpen his claws on the side of the couch, right in front of Mom's recliner, while she was reading. Mom yells at him to stop.

    As if this is even something that needs to be stated. Pshh. Of course cats can be petty too. We're pretty sure that cats invented pettiness before humans even came into existence. Literally everyone who owns a cat knows that.

    He ignores her. She yells again, he ignores her. Finally she throws her paperback novel at him, and whacks him in the butt with it. He runs off startled. Mom retrieves her book and goes back to reading.

    And to be fair, their pettiness is one of the things that we love the most about them. Not because pettiness is a good thing or something, but because it makes them special. Our cats have purrsonalities, and we think that is pretty heckin' dope.

    Few hours later, Mom goes to get out of her chair. She looks left. There she sees the kitchen table, the chair with her long white winter jacket hanging on the back of it, and Jerry, standing in front of the jacket staring her direction. She makes eye contact with Jerry, who stares right her right in the eye while he lifts his tail and sprays her white winter coat, then runs for the hills. I don't remember her ever wearing that coat again...

    summergirl76 · 6 mo. ago I had a cat that would always throw up on my blanket on my bed every time I went on vacation. One time I had three different blankets on my bed. The only one she threw up on was mine lol. For a day or two after getting back from vacation she would also come into the livingroom, meow until we looked at her, then she would sit with her back towards us. She was hilarious.

He would make a whole production, follow you, look at you and make eye contact, and then turn his back to you! This usually lasted at least two days.

We put their cat beds on the couch and have a friend catsit and give them treats everyday to prevent revenge in the rest of the house

    shelves, my furbaby loved to sleep in my sweaters. But whenever I fought with my ex, Maurycy would piss on every single item of my ex he would find. And then go back to sleep in my sweater. Those all were clean clothes. Washed in the same detergents. How he knew which were mine and which were my ex, I have no idea. But he never piss on anything of mine, but he never miss anything of my exes.

    latents 6 mo. ago My coworker's friend's cat didn't like it when they went away. After they returned, he'd climb up on a shelf. He'd sit there waiting until they looked at him so they would see there was no question that it was a deliberate action and not an accident. He'd reach out and knock something (preferably fragile) off the shelf while they watched.

    Dad went with me to pick out kitten and she loved him more than anyone else. Sweet little girl, but she had an evil streak. Had a boyfriend in HS and would buy red roses. That little imp (6-8 pound size) would find ways to get thru 2 doors to destroy red roses. White or yellow...nope. But red - shredded from my bedroom, down the stairs and all over the family room.

Came back cat acted all happy to see us, ran up to the bedroom and onto the bed ahead of us. Stood dead centre of the bed, looked us dead in the eyes, and squatted.

    sybann 6 mo. ago When I was young (MANY years ago) we had a Siamese who would pee about the amount contained in a bottle cap in the center of each of our beds when we'd leave her at home overnight. She only did it if we were gone what she considered too long overnight. And she only loved my mother.
