'Open can of sardines [was] left in the office fridge overnight': 25 Workplaces that are mildly infuriating

No workplace is perfect, but a few of these offices have some fatal flaws. For example, if your office temperature is constantly set to a toasty 78 degrees, the employees aren't going to be doing their best work. They're going to be constantly searching for a cooler spot to work from. Heat makes people irritable and impatient, so it's odd that a company would insist that their employees can't touch the thermostat to cool off a bit. 

Other employees are dealing with some chronic food theft. It's baffling that food thieves often get away with their crimes. Are there no cameras, or no eyewitnesses? One person shared a photo of a really delicious-looking pancake with bites taken out of it by a coworker! It's an irritating problem to have, which is why that person shared it with r/MildlyInfuriating. 

Below, we've gathered a bunch of different workplace woes submitted by those who've been mildly infuriated by the circumstances. It ranges from mild concerns like the aforementioned, as well as some more concerning issues, like the person who got stuck in their office because the door handle broke! 

Next up, these people were mistaken for an employee, and were confused about how to deal with the customers who kept insisting on being helped.
