  • It's getting to that time of year again, the glorious time when you get to use your PTO. You've saved the days up so you can splurge and really take a vacation. Not a dinky little long vacation, no. You have a beautiful week-long getaway planned full of fun and relaxation. If your manager denies your PTO, then they simply will be short-staffed, because you need this time off. You have earned it, it's in your contract, and if you have to stare at a screen all day for another week you're gonna lose it! So you use that PTO, baby! If you are lucky enough to have paid time off, then you have to use it to your advantage. That means, don't waste it on your second cousin's third wedding or your sister-in-law's bestie's baby shower. You use your PTO for whatever YOU want. This is your you time and it's very important for your mental health. The better vacation you have, the better you'll be at your job when you get back. And ain't that the truth?
