This might be controversial to say, but don't you think that social media has made many of the world's iconic landmarks a little… boring? Every year, millions of tourists visit them and every year, those millions post the same types of clout-chasing vacation photos on Instagram. Those monuments that used to take our breath away have faced chronic overexposure, so much so that visiting them is more about ticking a box than enjoying the experience. It ain't easy being the Eiffel Tower these days.

As a result, it's worth trying to view such things from an alternative perspective. The famous monuments and artifacts we all know about still have the power to pack a punch if only we try to change our point of view.
