‘I gave your prize to someone else’: Woman wins basketball game tickets in a benefit raffle only to discover the donor has already given them to someone else

Most people never win a single thing in their entire lives. As kids, you do everything to get a prize of some sort, whether it is a stuffed animal in a fair or a silly trophy from a bingo game, it is always fun to win a prize just because. 

I never won a thing in my life, and I pretty much gave up on my hope to ever win anything, so I cannot begin to imagine how disappointing it might be to actually win something and have it taken away, like what happened to the person in this Reddit story.

After winning much anticipated tickets to a Chiefs' game in a benefit raffle, the couple in this Reddit story could not have been happier. But that happiness didn't last long as they found out that the donor of those tickets ended up selling them to someone else.

    Chiefs have been such a big deal the past few years. Ive been daydreaming of next year when I see the raffle box for the same tickets (they donate them every year), adding an asterisk to the sign and note that says "*Unless Mr.X decides to give the tickets

It's a small organization that I am off and on very involved with, and making a fuss would most likely burn some bridges that would make me very sad. I will definitely say something in confidence to the lady who runs the show next time I see her, though.
