This call center worker is fed up. You can just tell that they've absolutely had enough of their job by the way they're talking to customers.
Although this story doesn't come from the r/AmItheA****** subreddit, people on the interwebs had some strong opinions about this story. U/tharealmouse shared a tale that happened while they were working at a call center and had to deal with an impolite customer. Why was that customer not being polite? She didn't want to talk to someone on the phone (understandable), even though they had an important message to relay to her.
The employee doesn't mention this customer's age, but younger generations just don't answer their phones, like, ever. They won't answer unknown numbers, of course, because they could be a spam call. And even when the number displays the company that's calling, there's a 9/10 chance that these young people will just ignore the call until it goes away. Good luck trying to reach them by phone message: you're much better off sending a text or an email if you want them to actually reply.
Next, these regular citizens got mistaken for employees by other customers, and they shared the funny ways they dealt with the situations.
