Job candidate gets job offer that requires him to move states, only the employer refuses to send the contract before he moves: ‘Just come here and get started’

You don't have to be a lawyer to know that a contract is one of the most important concepts humans have come up with. You also don't have to be a historian to know that it is one of the first social concepts humans have come up with. It is a massively important social construct that has allowed communities over the centuries to build and live in peace and so it should not be taken lightly.

When one first starts a job, the very first thing they should be doing after accepting it is to sign a contract, and definitely not make life-changing decisions before that, like moving to the other side of the country, for example.

The person in this Reddit story is considering doing just that, despite endless warnings. He does not care that he didn't get an offer letter from his future employer, or that hundreds of people on Reddit are telling him it might be a scam, OP (original poster) fully intends to uproot his life for a job that might very well not be real.

    sound good get here n we will hire you. For every 10 out of state inquiries 2 will show up. When one is moving long distance it's better to put feelers out n contact like 5 solid jobs so you have a choice when you get there. Companies know this. They know how the real world works.

I can just see you doing all this work to move out there and when you finally show up they decide they only really want to pay you half what they said they would.
