This Week's Heartwarming Helping Of Newly Adopted Cats For Fresh Feline Pawrents (July 5, 2024)

Happy Friday, cat people, and good meowrning! The week is just about over, and we would really like to begin this weekend on a pawsitive note. It's a good thing that it's time to meet the newly adopted faces of the week!

Each week, we bring you a whole new collection of the cutest, most wholesome and heartwarming cat adoption stories of the week, because if there is one thing that we know can make any cat person smile first thing in the meowrning, it's a whole bunch of kitty cats finding their forever homes.

As always, we want to give a huge thank you to those of you who adopted cats this week, and an even bigger thank you goes to everyone who adopted the "impurrfect" cats who need a little more love and care than most. "I've never been happier to announce a failure!"

"My foster baby Phoenix is being adopted - by me! I'm so excited! I've been fostering kittens for about 3 years and for me I think I did well to last this long before 'failing'.
I've had Phoenix since she was just a couple of hours old. She was freezing cold when I picked her up for emergency fostering and I spent the first day just getting her warm and stable enough to feed. I worried she wouldn't pull through that first night but here we are! Whilst she's still the tiniest in the litter she's a healthy happy 9-week old now. And my cat likes her, which sealed the deal as he's a grumpy old man!"

"This past weekend was a big adoption event in my city, and I was able to adopt these cuties! I've always had an affinity for black cats and it's always been a dream of mine to have my own little void. My boyfriend and I just couldn't bare the thought of separating the siblings, so we brought them both home. Meet Liliana Vess and Josu Vess (named after MtG characters)"

"Just adopted this girl. Her owner died, but she was left behind when the owner’s family came to clean out his house."

"This is Mustard! I'm part of a rehoming Facebook group, and I saw a post about her. One of the owner's friends (who made the post) went out to get her when she found out she was left behind. The owner lived in a somewhat isolated house out in the woods. It was sort of an urgent issue, as the friend is severely allergic and had dogs who tried to attack her, and she would have to take her to the shelter if nobody got her asap. I just felt in my gut I had to try and get her. When I reached out, I was the only person who had contacted her. So of course I said I would take her…"

"From Euthanasia list, to forever home"

"We rescued PJ off the euthanasia list over a month ago, he's 4 months now. And he finally got adopted today!!
His story- at almost 3 months PJ was on the euthanasia list with his siblings. When we got them they were deathly ill, and only 2 out of the 3 made it. To watch him make such a big turnaround is so beautiful, and his new parents are cherishing him"

"I'd been wanting my own cat quite badly for a while, moved out of my parents' place this week and decided to swing by the local shelter "just to look". I wanted a female under 3 years old, but as soon as this little cutie was handed to me, he started making biscuits and it was over. He's 9 weeks old, labeled as a Siamese mix but who knows. Can't wait to watch this sweet little boy grow up!"
