You were totally missing out if you weren't watching The Disney Channel in the mid-2000s. Over the past 20 years, viewership on the Disney Channel has dropped severely because kids would much rather scroll through TikTok than watch Dog With a Blog. When I was a kid, you could not escape the cultural impact of The Disney Channel even if you tried. I was a High School Musical fan above all else, but I respected the girlies who loved Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place. My kid sister would literally watch the same episode of Hannah Montana before school every day for a week, so I got my fair share of the best of both worlds. Even though Disney kids shows might be a little more low-brow than their animated features, they're still one of the most nostalgic parts of Disney for me.
