30 Behind the Scenes Pics from the Set of House of the Dragon That Prove They Don't Actually Want to Burn Each Other to a Crisp

If you're a Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon fan, you were probably drawn in by the meticulous world building, political intrigue, and of course, dragons. At it's core, though, House of the Dragon is just a family drama filled with sibling feuds, squabbles over inheritance, and massive, unruly creatures that can eat someone's leg off or swallow someone whole. 
It's easy to get lost in the show and completely forget you're watching something scripted, what with such intriguing writing, talented actors, and amazing casting directors. Tom Glynn-Carney (Aegon) literally looks like Olivia Cooke (Alicent) with a white wig, and all the Targaryen actors have such an unearthly, almost inhuman beauty to them. But they are humans, and when they're not pretending to be at each others' throats, they seem to get along really well. It's actually a bit jarring to see some of them in full costume and makeup, enjoying one another's company. Enjoy this collection of behind-the-scenes pictures from the set of House of the Dragon.
