"You are both fired... Problem solved!"

Co-worker who reported terrible employee got fired! why?
  • 03
for about a year, there's been a very t*xic employee at my job. they pestered/tc everyone. they had deep rized anger issues and would often pick fights with other co- workers. even i was subjected to one of his episodes.

Whenever problem employee (I'll call him Mr.p) started losing it, manager just talked them down in the office. nothing more. we later found out that the manager themselves didn't like the

employee and was actually afraid of them. she even hired a male supervisor so that he could handle the Mr.P instead of herself! The other day. my co- coworker (I'll call her Missy) finally had enough.
  • 06
Mr.p always wears his earphones. Missy had a hot pan and was trying to tell Mr.p be careful it's hot. he looked at her but said nothing. Missy assumed Mr.p. heard her.
  • 07
a few minutes later, Mr.p throws the pan at Missy and begins accosting her. saying the same lines he always does when he goes on a tirade. (you're out to get me, you disrespected me etc.)
  • 08
Missy calls HR, calls security, and Mr.P is escorted off the property after an unknown amount of time. a few days later, manager says both are off with pay for right now.
  • 09
and then just the other day, Missy calls me. the good news is,Mr.P has finally been let go..the bad news is so was Missy! she tells me that the higher ups said her position has been terminated, too. she

tried to ask why but wasn't given a straight answer.... so now im wondering why! why was my co-worker fired for reporting someone who should've been handled already?!

marlonoranges 1 day ago. Because Missy and Mr P will each blame each other and your employer can't be a ed working out the truth and exposing himself (im assuming gender for

succinctness) to liability if he's seen to pick sides. Easiest solution is to fire both. And yes, it's

MikoMikoto OP · 1 day ago as i mentioned in the post,my boss seemed to be afraid of this employee. (she's female btw) and even worse didn't want to do anything about him. just let other people take care of him. she hated him but never did anything about it at the same time..smh

Dependent Disaster40 1 day ago • But it's a very stupid/lazy solution especially since Mr Ps bad behavior has been repeatedly documented. Missy should apply for unemployment benefits and
  • 17
at least look into suing for wrongful termination. She should then subpeona everyone as well as all the company records relating to both Mr P and herself.

sarcasmismygame 1 day ago Hopefully your coworker will lawyer up on this as this is ridiculous. If Missy threw stuff back, etc. it is one thing but just for calling HR and security for getting a hot pan tossed at her? Yeah, your boss is someone I'd not want to work for.

MikoMikoto OP. 1 day ago missy didnt throw anything back. and yes...my boss is the worst :(

Pristine_Serve5979 · 1 day ago Were there witnesses to the incident? Did HR interview to get other versions of what happened?
  • 21
MikoMikoto OP. 1 day ago allegedly there was one co- worker who saw what happened but only saw Mr.P kick the pan instead of throwing it. not any better. and unfortunately the witnessing coworker can't speak english well. they didnt question any of us. just gave missy the axe

Claque-2 1 day ago As far as your upper management is concerned, two lower paid lower level level employees don't matter. If they both give management a problem, then both are going. Problem solved.
