Being a deaf pupper in a world full of barks and howls can make life feel a little ruff. With the right owners, lots of time, and some compassionate patience/learning, any kind of pup who is faced with adversity is bound to have a fulfilling, cozy life. All it takes is the right people to take the time to learn about the doggo's quirks, needs, and wants; which is usually some belly rubs, head scratchies, and warm blankets.
The couple in this video decides to adopt a deaf pup that has been fostered for three years. Though they admit it took a while for her to warm up to them, it was only a matter of time before she accepted the much-needed rubs and kisses she had been missing. The couple made sure to understand her hesitation about meeting new people. Like I said, being a pup can be ruff. They even took the time to teach her sign language—which is no easy feat for humans, let alone pups! Scroll down to see the pup's—Milkshake's—heartwarming journey.
