There's nothing worse for an introvert than that feeling when you start getting to the front of the check-out line at Trader Joe's. Don't get me wrong, I love the tasty artisanal snacks from TJ's, but boy-oh-boy does the social anxiety kick in when a tropical shirt-clad employee comes rushing to your aid. It's sweet that they think I want to talk about their favorite aged cheddar cheese in their vaults or that these employees think I want to chat about my weekend plans with them, but frankly, there's something special about a grocery run where nobody talks to you.

Introverts prefer a grocery experience filled with blissful silence as they stroll the aisles of fresh foods. We don't want to be accosted by idle chit chat, regardless of how overly friendly our counterparts are being. The introverted crowd wants to grab the goods to fill the fridge and get outta there before we run into someone we knew in high school. Hurry, Trader Joe's employees, there's no time to waste!
