I hate my bfs friends. So I got them very considerate but inconsiderate gifts
  • 02
So, my bf and I moved out 2-3 years ago and he was the first in his friend group to leave his parents house. Back then I used to really like his friend group but after some drama and back
  • 03
    s. bbing I started hate them and my bf knows this. I don't want to cause drama within his group so I stay away from them and keep my mouth shut about me disliking them and not trusting them.
  • 04
Recently, another of his friends is moving out with their significant other. This friend had gifted us some house warming gifts when we first moved out so I thought I at least owed them something.
  • 05
Here are some the gifts I've picked out so far and why they're considerate and inconsiderate. An Air Fryer. I know they have been wanting one so picked out a model that was bulky to take up
  • 06
counter space awkwardly and too tall to store in a cabinet. An oval shape to ensure it won't be flush with their other appliances and most importantly, it's small enough so only one serving of food can be cooked at a time. If
  • 07
they decided to air fry something for dinner with their significant other, the other would have to wait and their food would get cold unless they nuked it in the microwave. Just not very practical overall. It'll probably just sit on
  • 08
their counter taking up limited space or have to be stored away. I'm sure they'll keep it around for a least a year given their limited income.
  • 09
Also, I have picked up some wooden spoons and spatulas for mixing food as well as wooden chopping boards. Knowing them, they will most likely let them sit around or in the sink. And eventually, they'll mold.
  • 10
And lastly, I got them those bamboo organizers for cutlery and ziplock bags. In my opinion, they're not worth it as you have to organize your kitchen around them. So, they're perfect.

I'm looking for anything else that may seem like a nice gift but in reality is not practical or has serious cons. I'm currently looking for some knives, fork and spoons that have the wooden handles with rivets since they get really gross over time or when they're wet.

Francesca_N_Furter · 15 hr. ago That's a lot of stuff! I do think you have a talent for this, and should sell your services as an anti-gift consultant.

My anti-gift go-to is buy them a small gift certificate to a very expensive restaurant. The small amount will mean they will have to spend mostly their own money if they every use it.

ElegantSportCat · 12 hr. ago Hahahahah I once did this by accident to my sister. I got her a $100 gift card for some Brazilian meat place. She went with her bf. Out of pocket, they paid $200ish

something. She was mad at me, I gave her a gift card for such a place. I....I really gift it because she loves meat. I didn't know it was expensive. Oh, well.

jedielfninja · 12 hr. ago Dont forget about noise makers. Buy one of them a cheap drum set or instrument that they have been wanting to learn if they are not musical of course.

SignificantOrange139 12 hr. ago You know that brand, Nostalgia? That right there. I was gifted one of their cupcake makers. I'm a baker. With a huge family. That thing makes 6 little cupcakes at a time. They've got a waffle maker
  • 19
that makes one single mini waffle - with a model that comes with interchangeable plates and no good storage for them. Hot dog roller/steamer. Etc. Don't get them the tabletop s'mores maker. That thing is actually kinda fun as h. Though storage wise it is again - inconvenient as h_l.

bzaroworld · 12 hr. ago Assuming that they don't already have one, buy them an underpowered microwave. Almost everything is made to be used in a 1100 Watt microwave so getting them a 1000 Watt or even a 900
  • 21
Watt microwave would be super annoying. They'd be stuck trying to figure out how much extra time they need to add to make up the difference, plus they're also cheaper.
  • 22
lulugingerspice · 11 hr. ago Bonus points if the microwave is just barely too small to fit a bag of popcorn or a dinner plate in. An old landlord I had bought a microwave like that for my apartment (the microwave was also in Japanese. I live in Canada), so I had to learn how to make microwave popcorn on the stove that year.

_bhy_baguera_ · 13 hr. ago My father once received a huge hot dog machine at his house warming party. Not only is it a stupid gift (like who needs a machine to open some bread and throw a sausage + some ketchup on it ??) but it took up SO much counter space. If you can't find one, settle for an ice cream machine? or a popcorn machine? and of course get them second hand so you don't spend too much!

Also, cheap plastic hangers that will make all their clothes slip off! And maybe an ugly statue ? something ugly but looking expensive and gaudy, like a bulldog painted in gold ?

SpaceCookies 72 11 hr. ago Just the loudest clock. I had a clock that you could hear tick from anywhere in the house, even during the day. It drove us all ns hahah

toooooold4this . 13 hr. ago Your pettiness level is master. Here are more ideas. 1. Those decorative tempered glass cutting boards that aren't actually cutting boards. They are trivets. They take up a ton of counter space and will make your knife slip if you use them as a cutting board.
  • 27
    2. Those plastic egg cartons for your fridge. They are aesthetic but that's about all they offer unless you have chickens. Pretty, but a waste of time and space. 3. A white apron. Those stains never fully come out. It always looks gross.
  • 28
    4. Microfiber towels. I hate the feel of them. Not sure if your frenemies hate them, too. 5. A throw blanket that pills or sheds. Pretty until you use it or wash it.

stuff, as long as you take care of it of it it's no biggie but they're the type of people to leave stuff in the sink for days and days "soaking".
