Having surgery is a big deal. No matter what kind of surgery you have, something can always go wrong when you're on the table (not to scare anyone who has surgery coming up). But if you've seen Grey's Anatomy, you know what I mean. Well, the woman in this story was having surgery to remove a benign tumor. She wanted to get it removed because her mother had cancer, so it was a very sensitive subject for her. She brought along her husband for moral support because she was feeling really nervous.
Well, as it goes in hospital, the surgery was running behind. We're talking three hours behind. Her husband stayed for moral support even though he was growing increasingly irritated. He made a comment about going to lunch, but his wife politely asked him if he could stay until she was done, and he agreed. Next thing she knows, she wakes up after having a medical emergency, and her husband is nowhere to be found.
