Troubled Toucan Has Its Beak Broken By Young Tourist and Gets Outcast by His Flock, Scientists Build Him a Prosthetic Beak For Another Chance at Wholesome Happiness (Video)
A lot of people ask us, Animal Comedy-ers, why do we like to write for Cheezburger? Specifically about animals and cat memes? Well, it's because sometimes we think that animals are better than us hoomans. We truly believe in the healing power of animals, and we want to share that with the world. However, this time our story is about how humanity used its powers for good to help a lonely toucan that had its beak broken by a young tourist. The toucan had trouble eating, and was outcast by his flock because of his deformity.
Don't get too sad yet, the best is yet to come! Some scientists saw the poor bird and decided to build him a prosthetic beak, hoping this would allow him to live his life normally again. They painstakingly built a beak just for him and successfully attached it without any problems. The change in the young toucan was almost instantaneous! He started eating again, hopping and playing, and finally was able to make some friends with his flock. Scroll down to see the whole inspiring video below!

Oh! This is just heartbreaking to see. And the fact that it was broken by a human just makes it truly awful. Animals don't do mean things like this to each other, only humans do. We should start to learn more from our animal friends about how to act better with nature.

This must be like the equivalent of losing your thumbs. You don't realize how useful they are until they're gone, and without them, our lives would be a lot more difficult.
