I will never understand why people are so reluctant to do the right thing when it comes to relationships. I get that sometimes it is hard, to be honest with yourself and your partner, but surely being honest is so much better for both people than leading each other on and wasting your time.
So this is a message for anyone in a relationship right now – If you don't feel like they are the one, do both of you a favor and simply break up. Don't lie, don't cheat, don't ghost – All you have to do is have one conversation and then both of you can move on.
The couple in this Reddit story needed to have this conversation probably long ago, but the boyfriend held back, and that led to an even bigger heartbreak when his girlfriend discovered all the lies he told her. She reached a breaking point when she tried to surprise him at his workplace on his birthday and discovered that he wasn't there at all.
