Why is it that dads are either texting you something extremely random with no context, an excruciating dad joke, or they're just liking/sending a thumbs up? You could send them three full paragraphs, and they'll just say “ok.” You can't even get dads to answer a quick question through texts. They'll respond three business days later and it turns out they didn't even understand the question. That being said, you gotta love ‘em. Whether they’re not tech-savvy or they just really don't care for texting, they still try and that means they love you. Maybe the bar is low… But that sounds like something to dissect with your therapist. Just know you're not alone if you have a dad who texts like they have forgotten how to read. There's an entire world filled with dads like yours! Don't believe me? Just look at all these people putting their dad's poor texting skills on blast. Ain't family the best?
