Twitter is great for eavesdroppers like me. I'm such a shameless eavesdropper in public. On the train, I'm always looking over someone's shoulder at the texts they're sending. What if it's juicy? At a restaurant, I will fully disengage from my own dinner conversation to tune my ears into someone else's. Nothing thrills me quite like a public argument that I can listen in on and decide whose side I'm taking. I don't think it's creepy, because these people are always in public, I think of it as an investigation. I am a detective of public life and I'm on the case.

But when there's no good tea around you IRL, there's always Twitter, which is full of strangers airing their opinions, personal disputes, and general one-off observations. Scrolling Twitter is like eavesdropping on thousands of strangers at once. And the strangers we're overhearing in this week's list happen to be pretty funny people.
