giatt @1owroller Follow i don't think you guys realize how cooked we are. my little cousin (14) unironically just speaks in brainrot. lives in a highly educated area, picturesque white picket fence suburbs. every other sentence is a meme or some soundboard effect. it's just how he communicates

Dylan Sample @django_solstace • 6d Replying to @1owroller I work in education IT. So, I see students everyday... I, sometimes, have a better time doing Japanese listening comprehension than trying to follow what they are going on about.

■@learning_to_die - 6d Replying to @1owroller Sorry I'm not going to condemn a whole generation based on your little cousin. Why do you need to project your fears onto everyone, save it for your therapist that you're worried about how he turned out

John Hinson @Gender_Boi_420.6d Replying to @1owroller Yeah, 14 year old boys definitely didn't walk around saying Anchorman and Waterboy lines 24/7 when I was 14... What at terrible development!

STANG: EVIL INDUST... @hydromerchant Replying to @1owroller Is this him? Follow I wish I had a kid that looked like this on retainer to follow me around and say "facts" when I talk to people @JustBoysLaughin

Graham @graham025 . 6d Replying to @1owroller There is a few years where my friends did nothing but Beavis and Butthead voices and jokes. Always has been

exiled midwit @johnniac_3.6d Replying to @1owroller he should talk entirely in simpon's references, like a real american

Stn @stan3web. 6d Replying to @1owroller As a zoomer, not using this type of speech is such a massive edge in business, to be honest. Being able to do business with 35-60 year olds and just the fact that I speak their language is already something they're impressed by, lol.

HotSauceZee @HotSauceZee ⚫6d Replying to @1owroller Before we go all doom and gloom, I can recall my friends and I when we were that age just reciting movie quotes, TV quotes and early website stuff every day. It's just how kids are. Lol

Jefferson Eagley ❤ @JeffersonEagley Replying to @1owroller Follow I mean... I was the exact same way in my teens. Each generation has to try out a bunch of stuff to find what new things they're going to add to the shared language.

Lilly @lillybilly299.5d I don't think you guys realize how cooked we are. For the first time in human history, 14yo boys sound weird, annoying and incomprehensible
  • 15
Hüsker Düche @hip_priest69.5d in middle school i would watch a double feature of dumb and dumber and ace ventura when nature calls, every single day and would communicate with my family with lines from both movies so often they threw away both dvds one day when i wasn't home

. Ryan Pequin @ryanpequin • 5d When I was 14 my friends and I *literally* said the opposite of every single thing we thought. Every word was said "sarcastically" and I am not exaggerating this at all. Teenagers have always been incomprehensible to older generations, it's their divine right ☑

Adwoa is here @TheeAdwoanow • 5d If I see one more "I had a single interaction with this one person so I'm going to extrapolate their behaviour/comments into a damning indictment of their particular societal group/society itself" I'm gonna lose my mf mind

Sridhar Ramesh @Radish Harmers • 4d 14 year olds being incomprehensible is a vast improvement over the past. Read some texts from Middle English. Back then everyone, even adults, spoke incomprehensibly.
  • 19
assbutt @nasboat .4d lol you should've heard how middle school boys talked in the early to mid 90s when Beavis and Butthead was at its peak. this ain't new nor is it some horrible indicator of the future. but it does make you sound really old.
