'I don't think you guys realize how cooked we are': Concerned relative causes controversy complaining about 14-year-old Gen Alpha cousin's use of slang

Hand-wringing about the state of youth today is not a new phenomenon, but some like to treat it as one. It's fair to say that the advent of the internet has only intensified this, seeing as it has multiplied the number of stupid things that impressionable young brains can absorb countless times at this point.

Still, since when were teenagers known to be the most intelligent and emotionally deep communicators? This is a point that bypassed one Twitter user after they expressed their concern over their 14-year-old cousin. Claiming that the teenager "unironically just speaks in brainrot" They suggested this was a bad sign for the rest of Gen Alpha.

While some people were inclined to agree, others pointed out that teenage boys have communicated in dumb ways since pretty much forever. The influences may change, but the impulse to repeat annoying soundbites is something that has been around for a long time.
