Welcome back internet queens and kings. The thing about lying, is that once you lie once about something so big, it opens a door of paranoia for the person you lied to. They have no reason to believe that the liar has changed, or that there aren't more things they've lied about. If one's willing to lie about cheating on their partner, why wouldn't they have lied about many other things? It's a slippery slope, and is basically a death sentence in a relationship. Without trust, there can never be healthy stability or respect.
Lying is one thing, cheating is one thing, but the combination is like a double whammy of disrespect and outright betrayal. How on earth can someone get over something like that? And more importantly, why should they? In this particular Reddit story, not only did this woman lie and cheat, she tried to blame it all on her husband and turn her children against him. Everyone makes mistakes, but this is just emblematic of her character, and it isn't pretty.
