Some oldhead complaints are timeless. For instance, "Kids today are lazy and can't even begin to apply themselves to anything important." That's a critique that goes back to Aristotle's times. While it's kind of funny to watch the grown-up kids, who were called lazy by their parents, call their kids and grandkids lazy, it doesn't always mean that their criticisms are totally invalid. It's okay to look back at the past, remember what you once had, and wish that it was still the norm. That doesn't make you a crotchety, simpleminded old person…it makes you measured and experienced!
Baby Boomers used to complain that kids were on their phones too much, but now they're just as addicted to their devices as any member of Gen Alpha! Now, it's Gen Z and Millennials' job to complain about society at large, and it looks like we have more in common with Boomers than we once thought.
