  • 02
My former boss is screwed So my last two weeks are up and my boss is about to lose over $7k in profit this week alone just because I'm not there.
  • 03
I asked for a $1 raise which would have cost him atmost $2.5k for the next year because I was the only thing keeping his business together and he said no.
  • 04
I'm the only one who kept track of everything or knows where everything is. After my last day, he had the audacity to start asking me for stuff. He
  • 05
didn't want me to train a replacement so there is no one who even knows all of the stuff that I was doing. All of this was avoidable too but now I get to watch things crash and burn from a far.
  • 06
Update: Forgot to mention that theyre also losing another employee in the next few days who I trained really well so they'll be even shorter staffed.
  • 07
The person who is in charge of training now is actually really bad at it, and is also trying to quit.

cpepnurse 29 min. ago Now the big question is, how much money would it take for you to return? When he comes calling I'd ask for a $5/hr raise and make it known that I'd walk out if any slurs/harassment occur again. If you're really holding his business together he will come calling.

Abjective-Artist OP 23 min. ago I wouldn't go back. I want it to crash and burn. I had so many ideas of ways to increase revenue that I kept to myself. Also my mental health tanked working there.

FyrixXemnas 17 min. ago Nah, tell him if he has questions, your consultancy rate is $100/hrs, minimum 2 hours. And make sure you don't share any more than exactly what he asks.
  • 14
Capable_Stranger9885 13 min. ago $6999 per week. If they are losing $7000 in profit per week and the business is crumbling, this is the economically rational price.

lankaxhandle 45 min. ago He wouldn't let you train a replacement? Nice! The phone should ring in a few days. A very urgent phone call. It's time to start putting together that very expensive hourly consulting contract, with a nice retainer of course.

No-Entertainer-1358 54 min. ago Good for you. If he asks for help make him beg and pay big money Vote Reply Share Bradical_Dutch . 5 min. ago I've heard consultant fees ranging anywhere from $100-$300 per hour plus an initial retaining fee of a minimum $5000-$10000....

Abjective-Artist OP 3 min. ago The ironic part is that the business is extremely profitable. The revenue from last month was almost double what I made last year working two jobs(and sometimes 70 hour weeks.) Theres no reason to underpay people with how much money they're bringing in.

one-nut-juan 22 min. ago The former boss "this can't be possible. I'm the only one keeping this business profitable!".
  • 23
Abjective-Artist OP 20 min. ago I would see that man maybe 3 times a month. He literally was never present, and if he had paid attention when i was putting in my two week notice then he could have avoided this.

vicious_meat 13 min. ago Sounds like you need to offer expensive "consulting services" to your ex boss. At the tune of at least double what you were paid for. Take it or leave it, I know what I'm worth to your business. If he refuses and comes back later, say your price has gone up to triple, because the economy.
