Welcome back, connoisseurs of internet drama. Child-free weddings are becoming a more popular in the 21st century. With the amount of money that some couples put down for their special day, it's pretty understandable that they might choose to ensure an evening for adults only. Parents can't fully let loose and enjoy the wedding if they're having to look after their children, or otherwise some poor relative becomes the designated babysitter or kids' entertainer for the evening.
Something much less common are 21+ weddings, seeing as teenagers are capable of comporting themselves. It's true that they cannot drink in the US, but getting drunk is not the point of a wedding. In our story today, the groom's own adult brother was just short of the cut-off age, and he was ultimately excluded from the wedding. Weeks later, the groom expected his brother to attend a post-wedding dinner at a restaurant. Hurt, the younger brother refused. They served alcohol at the restaurant, after all, so he was only respecting their beliefs.
