Was finishing up a good 20k bike ride on Tuesday afternoon and heading back to my car when this poor little fella popped out of the brush and was meowing uncontrollably for help. Poor thing was sheltered up in some wet branches and leaves. Absolutely skin and bones. A tail that looks like it's been thru I and back and the filthiest little paws.

Took him to the local SPCA and got his vaccines and flea treatment done and he is currently living his best life being fostered by me and my wife. Needless to say our 4 resident cats are curious about who's in the furnace room. They put him between 1 and 6, but he definitely has that grumpy old man energy. He has officially been named Henry.

wolfgang784. 3 days ago Aw, glad you got the poor guy indoors again. Those photos do not show me a stray, that poor baby is lost or dumped. Not used to the conditions yet at alllll. Guess he had no chip though if a vet visit was already done and your still fostering him. How'd you get him home?

Blood Revolutionary OP 3 days ago My first inkling is he might be. lost. Dumped then came up as this is somewhere where there isn't a residence for a few kilometers. No chip. Vet said he should weight at least 3kg more than what he is now. He knows how to use a litter box and is quite friendly.

I was about 5 mins from my car, but I live only a short distance from where I was so I was able to call my wife and she got the cat carrier and some food and water for him. He didn't leave my side the entire time.

Just glad he found me. He's all ribs right now, but was given some high calorie food to put some weight on over the coming weeks. 701 Reply Share

Blood Revolutionary OP 3 days ago I could never ever leave an animal in obvious distress. Doesn't matter if it's a toad, a bird or a poor catto, I'll always do what I can for those who can't help themselves. That's why I always love reading the stories out of this community. 762 Reply Share

Blood Revolutionary OP 3 days ago We have another orange named Charles so it Henry was sort of in the same vein. We quite often call Charlie exactly what you just suggested. 46 Reply Share

    • soraysunshine · 3 days ago Sweet baby boy! Henry this is the best story I've read all day. The world knew he needed someone as good as you to come along. Thank you for taking this grumpy man in, I'm sure he's beyond grateful.

Blood Revolutionary OP 3 days ago I'm glad I could provide some good feels. I'm happy he's been seen by an actual doctor and has people on his side now.
