'Call the owner because the customer is always right': Designer purse shopper tries to lie her way into a steep discount
There's drama at the designer purse store!
Fashion trends are constantly changing. What's popular right now will be so off-trend in three years. In ten years, it might be fashionable again! That's why a lot of people like to avoid all that hoopla and buy something timeless. Many designer companies like to tout that their bags and clothes are timeless pieces that are well crafted, and they're happy to ask their customers to shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars for that designer merchandise.
This person, u/soliloquii, worked at a retail store that sold all types of designer brands. They mentioned that their customer really wanted a bag from a brand starting with the letter T, which makes me wonder if she wanted a Telfar bag. These can cost hundreds, just like any designer brand. In any case, this woman and her husband were trying to search for the best deal for their new bag. The woman kept trying to insist on getting a larger discount from the employee, which is a silly thing to do. Most employees at regular shops can't make up their own discounts on the spot. So why would this customer assume this employee would do that for her?
