‘Hello? I am right here!’: People of Reddit Share Silly Social Habits They Wish Society Never Would Have Accepted

I think we can all agree that our modern-day society has reached a new level of weirdness, and most of us don't know how to feel about the social norms we find ourselves following on a daily basis. Sure, we've obviously evolved as a society, we are much more aware and mindful of each other, and I'd like to think we are headed in a good direction, but there are some habits that I can't believe we still allow to happen in public spaces.

This AskReddit question raised many habits that I am sure you can agree are not the best example of a well-functioning society, and none of us would mind if we all decided to ditch them. With the question being – 'What's a social habit everyone seems to accept but you find really annoying?', the people of Reddit raised their concerns about social media, phones, public spaces, and more, and I found it to be a very interesting discussion about the state of our society.

    Knyfe-Wrench It's not just a phone thing. People stop in the middle of aisles at the grocery store, at the end of an escalator, in a doorway. You're not the only person that exists, move out of the way!

It's one thing if you're just taking a holiday snap or something and there's people in the background but actually pointing your camera at strangers without consent solely for the purpose of making videos of them to post online is not cool. I get it's legal to do so in most public places.

Attending events just so people know you exist in the hopes that some day, some random person from the hundreds of people you made eye contact with will hire you for something else. I'll keep my boring little job and not attend time wasting events, thanks.
