24 Times Cats "Helped" Their Humans... And Made Everything Infinitely More Chaotic And Funny

Some people say this thing… this untrue, ridiculous, quite slanderous thing about cats, and that is that cats are not helpful pets. A dog will come to comfort you when you need it, a dog can bring you stuff, a dog will listen to you when you tell it to do things, but cats? Nah. Cats don't do anything helpful, right? Wrong. Cats are helpful. It's just that their ways of helping can be… different. 

When a cat steals food off your plate, it's because they are worried about you eating too much and your stomach hurting. When your cat follows you to the bathroom and screams until you open the door, it's because they are worried about you drowning. When a cat breaks into your Zoom call and shows its bootie to everyone, it's because he thinks those people are your enemies, and it's coming to defend you. Or… at least that's how we choose to think about these things, and we are sticking by that.

    Hey, we can understand her. Alarm clocks are annoying as heck, and we, too, want to punch our phones in the mornings every time that they go off. The noise is driving her crazy, so she thinks it's doing the same to you (and she's right), so she really is being helpful by turning it off. Stop complaining. Say thank you.

    Top fan Courtney Elizabeth My cats regularly try to help me not eat too much lol. I brought 2 nice sized pieces of lasagna from Whole Foods. last night and decided to take a nap before dinner. After the 3 of them decided to help themselves, I got maybe a dozen or so bites myself. Lol

    It's all out of concern, don't you understand. They do not want you gaining weight or worrying about gaining weight, so they are taking some of this concern off your plate (along with the food). Once again - stop complaining. Say thank you. They're doing what they can.

    Flynn Hayes If I'm cooking they like to hang out and watch and anytime I stir anything or add a spice, I have to hold whatever I'm holding down because my cats have to sniff it for quality assurance before I can proceed. They don't try to steal the food. They just want to smell it.
