Mom faces backlash telling fellow parents that she would love to use the same name as their newborn for her hypothetical daughter: 'I told her I would be stealing her baby name... I'm not even pregnant'

Names are strange in some ways. On the one hand, they are one of the most defining personal details about us, on the other, most people share their moniker with thousands or even millions of others around the world (unless their parents were particularly creative, or Mormon). I think that anybody who has gone through the public school system has been in a class where there are multiple kids with the same name. It happens.

Nonetheless, what parents choose to name their baby is yet another thing that they seem to be getting increasingly weird about as time goes by. This is something that one mom faced when she complimented some friends on the common name they had picked for their newborn, claiming that it is a name she would choose if she had another daughter. She was texted by them afterward and told it was impolite of her to say that, but the internet was mostly on her side.
