31 Lord of the Rings Memes from the Depths of Middle-Earth (September 12, 2024)

Ok, I gotta be honest here - I'm not excited about this "Hunt for Gollum" movie announced lately. Sure, it has all the right names attached to the project, like Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Peter Jackson, and Andy Serkis, but after the Hobbit trilogy and the awful Gollum game, I'm just not very optimistic about the whole thing. Unlike many people on the internet, I didn't hate the Rings of Power Amazon series, but even I have to admit that it captures none of the magic of the original movie trilogy.

If you ask me, what we need is a totally separate trilogy of Lord of the Rings movies—animated! Give a different visionary the keys to the trilogy and let them give their personal take on this story. Imagine the creative possibilities and fresh perspectives that could bring Middle-earth to life in a whole new way!
