'She's not saving the planet like [me]': Holier-than-thou +1 girlfriend demands special treatment because she's 'vegan', turns hypocritical when a long-standing friend in the group shares a differing dietary restriction

If you're going to be annoyingly preachy about your diet, at least make sure you know what you're talking about. For example, if someone in your friend group starts bragging about starting a vegan diet, you'd think that would include at least some basic knowledge about what veganism IS, right? …Wrong. 

This girlfriend in our next story proved to be the most insufferable +1 addition to the group after pulling a double standard on another long-standing friend in the crew, making everyone question not only her intelligence but also her place in their social group. 

We all know how things go when you're planning a group event. There's a 15-person group chat popping off your phone, nobody can figure out the driving situation, and one person will complain about the restaurant everyone picked. It's the law of group outings–something's going to go wrong. Well, in the case of this friend group's graduation celebration, one member in particular seemed to rub everyone the wrong way for all the right reasons. Although we've seen our fair share of preachy vegans out there, one guy's girlfriend took the vegan cake on hypocrisy after deeming everyone else in the group a planet-killer. 

Extreme? It might be if she was clever enough to know that vegans don't eat seafood.

Read on for all of the details of how this woman was not only ignorant of the real meaning of veganism, but also had the audacity to shame another person for their very real gluten allergy.

    christopherdac • 9h ago Rescind the invitation. Her attitude would absolutely guarantee she doesn't have a place at my table. Being pescatarian is fine (she's delulu if she honestly thinks vegans eat seafood) but the other guests should ALSO be free to choose what they put in their bodies.

    Marquar234 · 8h ago Eleven people who want to eat a meat and/or gluten-free meal. One wants to eat fish. Majority rules, the pescatarian has to eat meat. I mean, if we are going with "everyone has to eat the same" rules, this is the logical conclusion.
