Group chat decorum can be a source of plenty of tension among teams in the workplace.
Sometimes, people spam channels with far too many messages that end up only affecting one or two individuals. No one needs to be getting all those notifications. Then, there are folks who choose to take the opportunity to criticize someone else's work as an "example" rather than privately messaging them. Nine times out of ten, this is not actually about giving the whole team a worthwhile lesson. Instead, it's really about a so-called "leader" singling a subordinate out unfairly, flexing their false sense of authority, and making a show of it along the way. Bosses like to feel like they are the boss rather than genuinely help team members out.
